Umbrella & Excess Liability Insurance

Umbrella Coverage

The umbrella policy picks up payment when underlying coverage limits are exhausted. It also provides coverage for most liability exposures, regardless of their exclusions in other policies, unless specifically excluded in the umbrella (Medical Professional Liability Insurance in always excluded). A typical recommended use for these policies is to sit over the underlying limits of the General Liability or the Package Policy, the Business Automobile policy, and the Employers Liability part of the Workers Compensation policy.
